I would put the filter back on the established tank until you get your fish tomorrow. The bacteria will die if it has nothing to feed it. And since you won't get the fish until tomorrow.
For my new 120g tank I added a dead silver side as a source of ammonia with 2 hydrosponges from an established tank. I also started up the xp4 canister filter to get it's bacteria going. I gave it a boost with some cycle the first and second week, then I added 4 small silver dollars (parameters were fine each day for a week) and today a week later I added my 6 baby motoro rays (4" across). I will have to keep an eye on the water readings every day for a while but I should be good to go.
As previously stated, just keep an eye on it each day and if you find the ammonia going up, do a quick 30% water change and add some prime water conditioner.
