I wrote a short story for one of my classes. It's a native american trickster story, here's a link to the definition which I recommend reading if you don't know what it is.

Anyway here is the story.
How the boar got his tusks.
A long time ago before we started track of history bears had tusks. In a kingdom there was a king and his much beloved dogs, the king loved his dogs so much that he had a royal guard watching over them 24/7. Outside the kingdom lived the animals of which included the bear and the boar which were friends. The boar begged the bear to give him his tusks yet each time he asked he was told no. The bear absolutely despised the king for not letting him live in the kingdom and the dogs for being able to do so when he himself could not. The royal guard took the dogs out for a walk one evening just as dusk was approaching when the dogs picked up on a scent and bolted, ripping their leashes out of the guards hands leaving him to chase after them. Once the dogs had found the bear whose scent they had smelled the bear decided to unleash all of his pent up rage against the dogs and stabbed them to death with his tusks. After doing so he ran deeper into the woods to avoid being seen by the guard. When the guard found the kings beloved dogs dead he noticed the holes in their bodies and knew only one animal had tusks in the forest so he set out to tell the king that a tusked animal had killed his companions. The king then sent out a group to kill the tusked animal. The bear being as smart as he was knew this and quickly sought out the boar and offered to give him his tusks which he excitedly accepted. He then went around the forest showing off his new tusks when he stumbled upon the group which had been sent by the king to kill the tusked animal. Upon seeing the tusks they swiftly killed the boar.
The moral of the story is don’t be envious of others.
