how thick should the acylic be on a 72x30x25 or 84x30x25 tank? thicker acrylic keeps the tank from bowing right?

Yep, that's the idea. You will also need a brace across the center. Acrylic is very flexible and will bow reguardless.

The height of the tank is the most crucial measurment. Your talking about a tank 25", you'll want to go with .75". How ever, you also talking about a very long tank. I asked my acrylic tank manufacturer and they said 1". 1" acrylic is unbeilably expensive how ever. But then again so is replacing all the carpet and sheet rock in your house. Not to question your skills, but I would have this one built.

yeah jungledriver no worries im not building it but i was given the option of .75 or 1 inch acrylic and i wasnt sure which to do...never mind though i asked them and they said it was gonna be 3k for that. forget acrylic lol
