Just seeking for second opinion :)

I believe foods like krill, shrimp and crab help bring out red colours. A mixture of white and pink light apparently also helps. They tend to develop the red as they grow

I am no expert!!! Trying to learn myself by following advice given to me...
I feed mine shrimp/prawn, mealworms, crickets, earthworms.. I havent been able to get her onto pellets.. she plays soccer with them...

I have also not tanned mine.... I use normal sunlight globes...
Might take a bit longer for the red to become red but Im hppy with the progress and if it comes naturaly, i know she will never lose her colour
For now... I wait patiently and enjoy her

im goin to start tanning him next week.. goin to let him settle for at least a week before stress him out.. do you know if arcadia submersible tanning is good nuff?..

For food im planing to give him market shrimp as main diet, crickets and centipedes one or two times a week.. and a small frog for the show if im bored. Will by givin him good foods itslef be enough to enhance his color?

As for lighting, this is the trickiest part, i just cant get the right lighting to artificially lift his color tho..

Make sure to add some vitamin boosters since lots of shrimp will lead to vitamin deficiency

giar giar .. i have never seen proper tanning lights in South Africa
Asians are very rare here and reds i think there might be a handful in the country.. i only know of about 4 including mine so.. we have a long way to go...

I managed to find a 'Nano light' a little while ago which i was told was a tanning light
I tried for about 2 weeks but she wasn't happy after a few days..
I could see she didnt like the light and her appetite also went down so.. i stopped
I have been fortunate enough to be given some advice by someone very experienced and for now.. i am leaving out the tanning..
In the future as she gets older maybe we will try again but for now.. i dont think so

Well in general Reds of all kinds get their colour wayy later than golds so patience is the best course. You can feed foods that are high in Karentine ( I didnt spell that right sorry) Krill does help but it takes a long time. You can also use a Nan tanning light but there is always mixed opinions when it comes to tanning Aro's. The best advie is just wait till he is about 20" he will color up
