I can't use co2, too expensive, I have 1 6500k 36 watt light

co2 is also present from the respiration of your fish, albeit in small amounts. This will be the limiting factor, so your plants will grow accordingly. Some plants will grow really slowly, and others will be fine.

How many lumens is the tube? And some photos of the setup-to-be would be helpful.

yeah its a tube light, not sure about the lumens though

I planned on doing that too, problem is I have no experience or skill with plants, last time I used plants they all died except for a select few
