If you can keep mastacembelid eels, you should be able to keep mudpuppies or axlotl. Boy do I love my terrestrial (really dirt-dwelling) tiger salamanders. If I can figure out the secret of retaining their neoteny without promoting cannibalism, I would love to be a source of 'reliable' tiger axlotl.

ive found that anything that attracts an aroma of sorts works well.

its sort of a mixed ordeal, a lot of trial and error before one ever finds the right bait!
