Train your gars onto aro sticks and be done with feeders. I have 5 tropical gars and several FL gars and they all eat aro sticks, FD krill, and FH pellets.
i got a stubborn gar they would rather starve than to eat prepared fish food

try guppies, mollies, convicts are easy to but theres the spine issue if the fry get to big.

Soon Im going to try Sailfin Mollies, cause they get pretty big.

you just havent tried hard enough yet.

Guppy's are easy to breed, but the babies dont get size really really fast, dont get me wrong if you have them in a tank you will end up with a solid tank of guppies. From all the reading and questions i have asked and responses i am going on. I got a group of young cons from 2 differnt stores so i had a lesser chance of inbreeding, and im watching them pair off. They are getting there own 20 long to do there thing, and they are gonna be feeding my larger tank, Ctenapoma's,killis, Barlius, even my Tropheus whack a few live feeders when thet hit the tank. i made a deal with the LFS i work at to take any "excess" off my hands for store credit, not much, but hey anythign to feed the hobby*L*

How hard are goldfish to breed? I see those sold as feeders all the time.
