Hi guys I have 20 of these texas in my pond , they are about 3-5 inches long and I wanna breed them since the female is already laying eggs but wont let the males fertilize them.

I have 5 fish tanks to accomodate 5 breeding pairs problem is I dont know how can any experience breeder pls help me

This is a hybrid section but I can help you. Best to post in the breeding section though for more results. Its very easy to breed these fish. Take all known females but in them in all the 5 tanks indivusually. Take the males and have a divider there. When her tube goes down release the male and wait until she lays eggs and her fertilizes it then divide the male again. The female will fan the eggs or you can take the pot out and put them in their own tank.

IF you have them in a pond you won't be able to have a good chance to keep fry. The other fish will eat most of them. Sure some may survive but if you want high chances do what I said. I been using this method for a while and I actually just bred some flowerhorns this way.

thanks mister , do I need to put rocks inside the aquarium and heater?

Duuuuuuuuuuude Idk about a bare bottom. Texas imo are hands down the most fearful CA Cichlids. I have to keep rocks/caves for them to hide.
Yeah you need all of those I'm talking just for breeding and nothing more. They should be separated until tube dropped and introduced and should be used to each other by the second spawn
