how to catch baby bass?

ya i forgot about the regs.. most places say you can't even transport game fish minnows due to the fact they are not allowed to be used as bait. doesn't matter if they are going into your aquarium or not..
 
Please honor the Fishing Regulations in your State. I completely understand the fun of having small bass in the home aquarium....but the consequences could be very costly. I am not trying to poo-poo your interest.
Here in WI we need a certificate verifying educational purposes, with a teachers cert. --or-- you need a valid fishing license and a receipt from a bait store. The fish must be bought at the BAIT STORE.

We are having problems with Viral Hemhorragic Septicemia in our State and the legislation is buckling down, preventing its spread. Very, Very Nasty stuff.

im pretty sure that in some states it is illegal to catch baby fish with nets. check with your state regulations before doing anything unwise
 
I caught a 3" bass on my Bill Dance Signature Dancin' Eel crankbait. He was smaller than the bait haha. There's a lot of info needed to answer a question like this. Lake temperature, spawning season, types of natural bait, types of vegetation, local laws. I'd say easiest way would be a casting net along small docks and reed lines if it's legal at your lake.
