how to catch canel fish?

i live in miami ive been dieing to catch some canel fish for my tank but i dont know how to catch them ive tryed bait diffrent types of lures and it doesnt work any help would be nice thank u MFK
 
you must not be trying very hard. Put a worm under a bobber and fish weed lines in those canals. They're everywhere.
 
calf liver works just as good lasts longer and stays on the hook better.
 
bleh.. not a liver fisher myself, had the best success with raw shrimp, leave the shell on
 
idk about the other guys but i went blind and thought it said 'channel' catfish, whoops thats what happens when canal turns to canel :P
 
lol i thought of catfish when i first saw this post. Buy some topwater lures like the super spook jr., some rapalas, and some plastic worms. watch a few youtube tutorials and get out there and practice. It's all about how you present the lure.
