How to catch Spotted Raphaels?

I'll try out suspending the wood at the water level first, and see how long it takes.

That's in my opinion the best bet! Raphaels love to extend their fins and lock them into place, and stay that way for ages; thats why i never suspend the wood above the water surface, always under it; in case they literally run out of oxygen in their stubborness haha

Yup. I've previously tried by just taking the wood out and putting it into an empty tub, and most cats simply wriggle out after a short time. But I lost my nerves when the Raphaels stayed in the wood
