How to convince parents to upgrade tank?

this is what i did and it worked LISTEN to me i have been through this some many times, dont ask all the time, get big fish and ask for an upgrade, for your birthday or crimbo (xmas) or act al 'goody-goody' and become a parents pet lol

u can try doing chores clean around the house and stuff that would proly be the best way and find a cheap deal online...when i had this problem i did that i worked around my house and used the money i got for a 55gallon tank...u can tell them it will help with u learn how 2 care for other liveing thigns and stuffers best of luck /m/

tell your parents that in a distant future you are going to be the one choosing the nursing home where they're going to spend their final days....that will put things in perspective .

a 800gallon is big for a kid but one of my friends "fishfreak2009" has 16 tanks and probbubly over 700gallons. he has two 180gallons, a 90 and a bunch of other size tanks.

Not to be mean, but i would think trying to convince any ones parents (who aren't avid fish keepers) to get a 800G tank in their home would be much harder than to get several tanks which total 800G over time...

Just the space needed + cost for such a tank would already cost an arm and a leg... or maybe its just that i live in Hong Kong and space comes at a premium price...
