They are just updating there site it looks like. I just ordered some more optical sensors from them a couple of weeks ago to monitor another tank.

Give your folks a break and move your fish tank to a friends house or part ways with the fish. An automatic water changing system is not without its quirks and your fish may be in jeopardy. Your fish and its home is your responsibility, not your folks.
