how to cut plastic egg crate for a tank divider

So i finally found some egg create to make a tank divider. how do you cut the egg crate to fit the tank? I dont have any tools and am trying to figure out a way to cut it. Any suggestions would be great!

I cut mine using regular wire cutters or a hacksaw blade. What about using a serrated kitchen knife?

I heat a knife with a popane torch and melt through the plastic like butter.

Regular wire cuters will do. Do it outside because small shattered plastic parts will be all over.

That's my method. Messy but it works.

I use dykes (side cut wire cutters). Makes the least mess of anything else I've used.

I have used a table saw with a good blade to cut mine.
