How to cycle a tank very quickly? Is it even possible?

Bumping up this thread again. Sorry to ask but what is the best position to place a seeded media inside a filter to take full advantage? I have a 4 stage canister filter. Do I need to place seeded media where they have sponge inside my filter? My filter has first stage consist of sponge and secone is with sponge and some other material. Please advise

Keep your sponges before the bio media. You want to keep gunk from clogging the media. The bacteria will be in the water, they will touch everything as the water moves through the system.
