Hi, last week I put a 6 inch red wolf in my 30 gallon fish tank. I thought that my wolf will be the most aggresive fish in the tank but I was wrong!!! My three 4 inch senegal began to swarm on him and tryed to bit him. I had to protect my so call vicious wolf against midget senegals? LOL??? I wonder if there is anyway to decrease or completely cease the aggression of senegals ASAP? I had nothing like this amoung the 3 senegal buddies. Would the aggresission happen because I feed them feder guppies once every long time (month). Would it be that I have not enough hiding spots? I have 2 pots.

Thanks

It sounds to me like you don't have a tank big enough for all the fish to have their own territory. The only way to decrease aggression is to get rid of the wolf fish or upgrade to a bigger tank.

You will need a bigger tank for the senegals anyway, so that's probably your best option. Also, it's my understanding that wolf fish need much larger than a 30 gallon. I couldn't imagine my 7 inch toadfish in a 30 gallon.

Get a bigger tank:)

in the mean time add more cover, long run bigger tank, personally i wouldn't keep em together

you need a larger tank i'd say, may want to put lots of plants and rocks in your tank, caves also for your polypterus to go into, unfortunately in the tank youy have there may not be a way too stop this type of behavior, is it a predator fish
