how to distinguish males from female in Texas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Do you have it in a 10 gallon? Im sure it's still a little stressed from the location change and really has nowhere to hide or protect himself with.. Cichlids are always diggers, constantly re-arranging and making it their own, and the moods are something you'll have to get used too as well!

As for the sex I can't really tell myself. For 8" it isn't very beefy like a male should be. Just screams female to me

as for beefing the tex up, feed a diverse staple, dont be afriad to mix... i feed mine a mixture of 1 part flake, 1 part pellet, 1 part bloodworm, and throughout the day il through a frozen krill...... dont overfeed however, just balence the meal.... beef heart works excellent as well.... stray far far away from feeders... no point.........
