I wa just reading another thread about water conditions and noticed that most of the responses was saying their Ph was in the 6's .
I know it can be droped by driftwood but would that be a permanant fix or would the driftwood eventually stop working and eventually I'd have to buy more ?
I know Peat will drop my Ph but I am unsure how much and how often I would have to add it ( not fond of the discoloration that occurs when peat is add lol )
Chemical way ? I have seen Ph increasers and decreasers but have never used them so would this be the safest most controled way of lowering the Ph ?
Seriously guys please advise, I am setting up a tank for some rio meta orino's ( haven't ordered yet but going to soon so they aren't all sold out I really don't want to miss out and have to wait till next year !!!) and I want everything to go perfect, they have been a dream of mine to own ever since I saw the video's of Jcardona's 405 gallon
I have done ATON of reading about peacock bass and I have learned alot but any tips about anything P bass related anyone can give me from personal experience I would be very greatful
I would be getting the orino's from snookin21 they would be 2" and I don't think they are off live yet but I wanted to know of any place online or some where around St. Louis, Mo that sells feeder guppies ? the best LFS in town burned a couple years ago and haven't been able to find any since . I normally don't like to feed feeders but at such a small size I do not want to starve them not until they get bigger and get some weight on them .
Their is several petsmart's with in 40 miles or so but they only carry rosie reds and they are 2"+ ....
