How to even floor for a 75g

I've actually used strips of cut plywood to level my tank. Also i would recommend checking and making sure that there isn't any X type of unevenness. Like the front left isn't level (or evenly sloping) compared to the back right and vice versa.

Yes, I always put downward pressure on the individual corners to make sure there is no movement or rocking at all. You dont want any twisting forces being applied to the tank when the water weight is in it. Being off level a tiny bit, evenly in one direction, is less dangerous than having one corner being off compared to the others, if that makes sense.
