How to Filter a tank on the floor?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have two ehiem pro 2 and a ehiem pro 2 knock off all sitting aprox 3 feet higher then my tank. The only problem is when the power goes out or i clean the filters. I have to use a powerhead to reprime them. Aint hard at all . Did have a xp3 didnt like it. i also had a ehiem classic and a ehiem eco up there at one time and they worked fine if i primed them

Sorry I have never used a ehiem filter, I have only used the Magnum 350 canisters.. no priming issues and of couse they sit on the floor...

Well, i don't have a filter to use on it yet, was thinking of purchasing a canister filter. I did not think of the cinder blocks to raise it. I think that will be the route i am going to take. Gonna get a canister and start running it on the tank now so the move is seamless.
