The only thing that most exporters based in SA care about is the color of your money. The local guy that Bill is referring to doesn't even run a business, and nobody in SA cares one way or the other. You break into it by shooting some emails out, getting some wholesale lists, and then doing your homework with regards DOA policies, F&W permits required, shipping costs, etc-etc. Ultimately there is always some risk involved when sending money to a 3rd world country on nothing more than faith. If you aren't prepared to pony up $1,000 for an order, ordering direct from a SA exporter probably isn't for you.
