How to get Fluval FX5 on a 180g?

I had an issue with a odd thick rim on a 150 we had.
I hit the clip with the wife's hairdryer for 5 minutes and stuck it on with ease.
Not so easy to get off.

This is a good idea. I may do this.

don't push straight down, come from the inside of the tank. (what I did for my 125)

i took mine off and just bent the ends up against the wall and had a rock holding the intake in i have 1 on my 250
