Pellet

Just keep trying, he should take Pellets eventually. I feed Massivore, Shrimp, and Tilapia to my Polys. They can pick and choose what they want but the pellets always get eaten too...

lol,you beat me to it ,ive never tried to feed my endlis pallets but they eat everything else so why not:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Seriously though mine just ate them once they had settled into the tank,id just fees them up a bit if they need it and then only feed massivore or cichlid gold sinking etc or whatever other pellets you have, they may like one sort better but once you get them on pellets it should be easier to change the pellet if you want to.

Steve

I am currently feed them gold fish/hake/prawns. Its currently day 6 and still no luck, today im going to try mixing hake and pallets.

Agreed, polys are not discriminating and will eat anything, although mine like massivore best. I usually dust other food stuff with that stinky stuff to get them to eat it immediately.

My m8 has a trick that works for him everytime with baby bichirs and bigger ones aswell.

I dont know what u call this in the states or if u even have it over there but in sweden we have mosqito fry (their eggs) - red fry. Its not good food for the fish at all because its mostly water but fish go crazy for it because it smells very strong and tastes good for them apperantly.

Well 2 the case, put those frozen red fry in a glass with some water and let them melt then put pellets inside the same glas and in 2 the fridge. After 2 hours the pellet has sucked in all the juice from the red fry and the fish will go crazy for the pellets.

If u dont have red fry then im sure there is other similar stuff that u can use instead like artemia offen used 2 feed baby marine fish.

good luck

Good idea^^

some of them eat pellets readily and some of them need to be trained/starve :)

the day i bought all my bichirs the moment i fed all of my fishes sinking pellets they all ate without hesitation, they even ate floating ones.

I dont think that any fish would learn to eat shipping pallets...

starve them for 2-3 days then throw a couple sinking pellets in there. polys are shy eaters and will not eat if you stand in front of the tank. It took my 6 months before they would let me stand in front to watch them eat.
