I have a 7-8” fahaka that I just got. It will not eat or even consider pellets food. Anyone have any tips or ideas to get it to start eating nls float pellets? Or what to feed to get all the benefits of pellets?

Slim to none on that. I defrost food in vitamin solution. You can keep offering pellets and it MIGHT eat them. Your still going to need a high crunch diet to avoid dentistry though.

You could crush pellets and try to stuff it in something bite size. Maybe make a solution and Cajun inject it. This will probably just mess with water quality though.

I will cut pockets into the large shrimp (raw, shell on) that I feed to my hairy puffer and stuff some pellets in there. Some fall out while it is chomping it down but it usually gets a couple in its tummy. Using Boyd's Vitamin on the food is also a good idea.

Yeah it's not a natural part of their diet - you will have to try and trick them and even then it might not work. Are you giving these are supplements or main diet? Any live foods such as snails and shrimp you can feed and gut load which is easier.

My old girl used to chomp down on NLS and Massivore pellets... but i did train her to eat pellets from a young age...

You could try soaking the pellets in a bit of bloodworm juice to try and entice the puffer to try it... you never know it might work...
