Side note but if that tank is glass you might want to have those rock caves siliconed together. They could break a glass panel if one were to fall over. love those rock caves, I have a few of them as well. Is that a female in he bottom left?

I actually plan on taking all them out except 2 larger ones. I plan on recreating a Japanese theme. Yes it is!

I agree with Drstrangelove about the beef heart. That stuff is really hard on water quality.

I fed Beefheart once or twice. I've done several water changes since then tho. Thx a lot! Hopefully I can get some nice fry

Try doing each filter in rotation during weekly wc's and see if conditions improve. Also doing both wouldn't be a problem if you gave them a good swishing. I was amazed at how much waste that the sponges gathered.
