How to heal my polys slime coat.

Last night some things happened to my poly that damaged his slime coat ( ill link to that thread in a minute as im on ny phone) now the area of most damage is all read and raw... How do I fix this, I have raised the temp to the mid 80s what should I do now he has also started to swim funny.

Add salt, and figure out who attacked it and get it out. Do you have a pleco? If so, that is most likely culpret. Also, keep lights out for a day or two to limit stress.
 
And its one table spoon per 5 gallons right?

That is the standard dose, but I normally double that. It won't hurt anything, and it induces slime production.
 
add salt and water changes. the bichirs going to be fine. Did a pleco cause this?
