How to Heat LOTS of water

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
See my post on my 750 gallon build... I run a heat exchanger on well over 1000 gallons now (hooked up a 240 to it also) and it costs just a few dollars a month to heat to 84F.

That sounds like it may help me run my Jacuzzi a little cheaper? But for the life of me I can't find the thread. Link?

Interesting Bb...

I wonder what that would be like in WI? What time of the year do you run it? Are you in the south? Sorry to pry.

Brrrr. Not even trying to think about that.

Yea dont know what its like out your way, but here it has been -20 some mornings and we already had one snow emergency. There are drifts that are definitely close to 5 feet in some places.

Its not that bad, luckily this computer is close to the fireplace. Furnace is working, just quits out once the temps outside go down to a certain point. Guy came twice and has no idea what is going on. Oh well. Its still warm inside, and that is all that matters.

We've got the 5-6' Drifts. But the Avg depth was about 1-2'. Therm by the mailbox said it was 9* out this AM when I left for work.

I am in CA, and run it all year long since I don't run electric heaters on those tanks.

Yea...

Wisco gets cold. Maverick it seems that this year is the year of the snow. It was late, but when it got here it dropped a ton all at once. We were in a snow emergency for 48 hours.

Anyways, trying not to jack my own thread, thanks guys, all things are being considered (NPR :D), and we will see if we set up this pond again next summer.

Thanks.
