I have an albino ball python and over the summer I had no problem keeping humidity at 50-60.. Now that its colder the humidity in his tank is always around 30-35. i want to get this back up. i keep a 'night" heat light on 24 hours which does a great job at keeping the tank between 80-85 degrees and i use spray bottle but... Any help??

I actually do have a water dish under the heat lamp and have a heat pad attached to the bottom of half the tank

someone help him. i have the same problem!!!!!!!

More surface area = more humidity. Increase the size of the bowl if you need to.

If he's in a fishtank, either buy the appropriate size glass canopy for your particular tank or buy a piece of plexi or glass from Home depot/Lowes/whatever is in your town.
LEAVE THE SCREEN ON! Just put the glass/plexi over your lockable top.
Ignore anyone who says the snake won't get enough air.:screwy:
Keep spraying daily and you should be OK.

What substrate are you using? Some are better than others for maintaining humidity.

I'm a ball newbie ( am in love with mine ) but read that they do not need so much humidity, being from places tending to the dry in west and central Africa....

Please, how does one notice that the ball is lacking in humidity conditions?

Correct, they are not a tropical species and do not require a ton of humidity.
However, Balls that are kept in environments that are too dry usually develop shedding problems. Not a huge deal but they can develop eye problems if not monitored closely (From not popping their spectacle off).
