Thanks for all the help, I looked up more info in back issues of TFH, and I think I'm gonna take the plants (yes-they're live), and soak in a dilute solution of bleach. An issue of TFH had an article about this. I don't mind having a little of the stuff, but it's overgrown some of my hair grass plants and it looks kind of awful. Oh, and I'll change my lightbulb too, it was originally for a salt tank. I'll elt everyone know how it turns out, and thanks again for the advice,

Depending on your fish stock, you may want to look into the addition of amano or ghost shrimp; the former seem to take on most any algae!
