Emulsified clove oil is imo the most humane method of euthanizing fish. In small doses it's an anesthetic, in large doses they just don't wake up. I don't much like the idea of killing pet fish for any other reason than to eliminate needless suffering from incurable diseases but I also catch pike and beat them to death with oars so I can cook them so it's a little hypocritical.

find another solution . dont kill a perfectley healthy fish man

I have a paratilapia, and if I just didn't want it, I know many fishkeepers would gladly take it, and pay a nice amount too, certainly a fish that would have no problem being taken off your hands

WTF

You bought the fish impulsively...

Now you want to kill it...

Nice.

I know :irked:

My gf dumped me for spending too much time and money on the fish

I want my gf back, so Im quitting / selling all the stuff in my basement. Sadly none of these fish I got that will go well with the big fish at my work place.

I did try to sell them and offer to a lfs (free), but they dont want it cause its too hard to sell

When I see something I like, I will buy without hesitation. Id find it very difficult to control myself when it comes to fish, (buying or adopting)

Id almost brought a 5" baby arapima giga for $180 two months ago (they are so cute). The store also got a 9" blue diamond rhom for $220 :WHOA: and the owner offer to me for $160 and I almost brought it too

Im sorry that I brought them impusively and sorry that I adopted a 3" diamond rhom 2 days ago too, which I dont know what to do with it now
(the rhom is in that breeding tank in the pic)

Thats my weakness :( I hope I can change my bad habit

If your girlfriend dumped you for enjoying a hobby and caring for your pets, then it sounds like you need to get a different girlfriend. Because that's not how things are supposed to go down.

Well...I think most of us has been to a point where we just buy fish and not think of the consequences. But if you put those fish on this forum, I'm sure someone will take them off your hands. Hopefully, this has taught you some self control ;)

tough situation fishes. i understand your impulse buys as i do the same but i always know that once i buy i gotta find a way to take care of them... hence y i have 6 tanks now. lol. its sad to hear that ex gf wins and fish enthusiast loses. she aint worth it.

score:
selfish gf that want all money to be spend on them: 1
fish enthusiasts: 0
poor fishes lives ruined by selfish gf: negative infiniti if they die

are you serious? she cant accept you for who you are and you still want her back? do us all a favor. go up to your girlfriend, reach into her purse, grab your man jewels out of there and put them back where they belong!

seriously man! this girl aint worth it. if you go back to her she'll know she's got a leash on you and its all downhill from there. she will want to control every aspect of your life because she KNOWS she can. its a bad sign.

good luck, and please do the responsible thing with those fish
