How to know your baby senegals are eating?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes, buy frozen raw shrimp from your market and use that. If you have a sharp knife (and a knife sharpener) I was taught by Rich that it's best to cut it up ahead of time, toss it all in the freezer, that way you spend an hour chopping it all up, rather than cutting it up every time you feed your fish.

For young bichirs, I prefer pellets like HBH super soft krill, hikari cichlid godl sinking 'mini', and frozen blood worms and brine shrimp.

Price it out in your area man

Now you're just being lazy :grinno: j/k

Seriously though, costs will vary greatly by area. Shrimp here in socal varies depending on the size of the shrimp. The smaller ones go for about $3 for a 1lb bag, the bigger shrimps go for $9 for a 2lb bag, on average.

I think I paid $5 for a small can of supersoft at petsmart.

The big bag of cichlid gold sinking is $9 at my LFS.

Alright haha thanks and i got him eating blood worms and it was a good day ill try some of the stuff you guys offered though
