How to level a big tank??

So my armatus has persuaded me to get off of my butt and set up its new home but the spot in my basement where the tank is located seems to be on an uneven section of the floor.I don't want to be looking at the tank and seeing more water at one end than the other nor do I think it would be safe or good for the integrity of the glass and stand so I'm open to suggestions....

I use 1/4" pieces of steel.

2x4s lots of them.started at the end and got it level.then cut 2x4s slid them in and down untill they were tight.front to back was off almost 2" for me.

Bare I guess.The walls are painted concrete with concrete floor and exposed beam ceilng...I may place some type of decorative paneling on the walls but that will be about it.

Is it the floor? Or the stand?

How large of a level are you using ??

you can build or modify the stand, use floor leveler, or place 2x4's on the floor level and then pour a concrete pad, it would depend on how much you need to bring level but on a large tank i would not short cut it

I think the floor kind of slants downward slightly from the wall.I touched on that in the opening post.It is sitting empty and about twelve inches out from the wall and it appears to lean forward slightly.I do not have a level tool,if that is what you are referring to but I know someone whom I can borrow one from.
