I had goldfish in my swimming pool for a little over four years. Some were gorgeous butterfly finned and fan tails. I had a large algae bloom and in killing the algae, all of the fish suffocated. I tried to save the eggs from the best females and the love lotion from the males. It didn't work. I just ended up with a stinking mess. From the force required to remove the eggs, yes I think it will kill any fish. I ended up cutting the fish open because squeezing them did not produce many eggs. Some fish ruptured without producing many eggs out the vent.

Can anyone help me??? How would you breed a convict with a JD??? I know it can be done, but how??
I think if you just put a JD and a convict in a good sized tank that they will breed. I also think I read that the Male should be a JD and the female should be a convict because other wise it will turn out messed up (I could just be talking out of my butt on this though)...
