How to make a Online Game....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Server Hosting would come with learning Web Development, not really much to learn there, just need to pay to have server space to host your final program etc...

As for sprite sheets, yes they can be made, but just depends on how deep you want to go as to how much work will be involved... since if you consider flash as just a white canvas and what you script in there is what determines what it will do...

Now, about 3D, normally thats a course on its own called something like 3D animation, as 3D can involve a lot of stuff from programming to how to build 3D models... so depending on which direction you want to go, and which you enjoy more you should choose to start with one or another first...

As for can you learn this in High School, i'm sure some HS can and do offer such learning programs although it really depends on your HS itself... otherwise, if you search online for tutorials on programs such as Auto Cad (3D model building program) you can get some idea of what you'll be dealing with...

But no matter which direction you go, be prepared to be nit-picking at a lot of code especially when something goes wrong, which at times will make you want to pull your hair out...

alright, so it sounds like alot of work and you are not going into the bugs and all that so am sure thats a big factor am going to see if my HS i wanna go to will have classes like these, what would they be called like 3d Art or programing or somethin? thanks again

Okay, i have to admit i only just realized you are 13... so let me go about this a different way... in HS, its more likely you'll find some sort of computer programming courses > Animation courses... although again, this will probably depend on the individual HS itself and probably won't be offered till your in a higher grade...

Anyway, if you do get really into either of these subjects, then you can definitely find courses on offer at different universities, even though thats still a good few years away for you...

If in the mean time you just want look into these things a bit more, look for some of the bigger CG forums...

Here is a good one to start off with CGTalk

If i remember correctly, there are a lot of professionals in the graphics industry that goto that forum... lots of good info and you can check out some of the work that others have created...

As far as programming goes, search google to start off with some basic web programming stuff such as HTML, Javascript, Flash programming such as Action Script...

If you want to take the easy route, there are programs such as Dreamweaver which are programs used to help develop websites a little easier...
