Dont know if this is the right area to put this, but I love those square detergent buckets and was wondering how I could go about making it safe for fish transport?

use alot of water to rinse it out a whole lot and hope the plastic didnt absorb the chemicals in the detergent. personally im of the opinion its not worth the hardcore rinsing to get it clean.

i wouldn't allow warm water to sit in any nonfood grade plastic for a extended period of time, as they can leech chemicals.

I like that they are wider and more stable that the taller 5 gallon buckets. I travel alot for fish and I've had my share of 5 gallons topple over in the car

depending upon the bucket you can get some pretty secure tops for them

I think using the rectangle detergent container is fine just so you wash it clean. The one thing you must remember (it happened to me) is to make sure you have some kind of aeration in the container because oxygen runs out quick. I had some fish in a cooler and I lost most of them because the air stone didn't stay in the cooler. I now use a bigger airstone that won't float to the surface. Hope this helps, The Doctor.

if it has been used even once for chemicals, i would never use it for fish. not worth the risk
