How to make thermometers stick?

I have to agree with bigdovii, sounds like its time for you to go digital. Petsmart sells a descent digital thermometer with a single probe for like 10 or 12 bucks and it sticks to the outside of the glass.

I'm sure you will enjoy the upgrade.

You can find digital ones for as little as $6 on ebay and amazon, and even get free shipping if you look hard enough. I prefer digital since they react quicker and allow me to keep the temp within 1-2* while doing WC's.

I kind of like the normal thermometer, a digital wouldn't look great on the tank, any more solutions to how to make it stick?
