Our neighbors have their land up for sale and the tenants were told to move. So they moved house and all over a 1/2 mile!! :WHOA: :screwy: Each house mover was paid 20 pesos which is less than 50 cents U.S. !! :screwy: It took less than an hour.

Thanks great thread!

May I also say thanks for bring back some good memories with your pics.

It was funny to watch. The guys underneath would get tired and ask to stop and then they would all set it gently down (wouldn't want to disturb the termites! :D) . They would rest for 5 minutes or so all to pick it up and start carrying it again! None of them were wearing shoes that I saw, only sandals over a rough dirt road and through a freshly plowed field! :screwy:

They carried it at a brisk walk too! I was waiting for one of them to trip, lose their grip, or fall, but it never happened. Very impressive! :WHOA:

One of the neighbors came over afterwards and asked what we were going to do with a piece of **** bamboo shack on our property. I told him I was going to light it and turn it into a Tiki Torch :FIREdevil:FIREdevil:FIREdevil and

he said "no, I'll buy it from you!" I asked how much was his offer and he said "50 pesos" (a little more than $1 U.S.). I said it was worth more than that to me to light it and the entertainment value! :D He left and came back with 2 live chickens! Done deal and they were great!:drool::drool:

So they came and got it........
