Anyone have pics of a move or techniques? Cost effective.

I'm supposed to pick up a free 9foot Jebo tank 300g. hard to find movers and costs alot. Even if the tank is free.... know what I mean?

Lots of men all lifting.

No way around it....

You will need your brother and a friend of his, two of your co-workers, that one guy and his son from church, and the guy who lives down the street.

You will need one large pizza for each man with one pizza left over.
Remember that you dont just need guys to lift and carry the tank, you also got to have guys that run ahead to open the doors and turn on the lights, carry the stand, the rocks or sand and pumps etc.

Also, make sure one of the guys has a pickup truck....

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area there are streets that Latin workers illegally here in the U.S. gather to try to get work. A lot of construction companies hire them and pay them cash under the table. I've used them before to clean out my backyard and move my tank. The Doctor.

Rent or borrow a flatbed, makes life much easier vs using a pickup.

This is a 8x3x3, used two carts and 6 guys... 7 if you count me but I mostly just supervised!!!
No matter what kind of vehicle you use be sure to restrict movement in every direction. This tank was blocked in with 2x's nailed to the deck front, back, and on both sides, and then strapped down

I find the best suggestion I can give to anyone moving any size tank is to use the commercial vaccum cups. They can hold several hundred pounds a piece and have nice handles that make moving a tank MUCH easier. What normally takes 6-8 people to lift a 300 gallon tank can now be done with 3-4 at most. CR Laurence sells some nice ones. I believe glasscages.com has some for sale at a decent price. I use them on an almost daily basis moving large tanks for customers and for things in and about our shop. Trust me...it makes a big difference.

Agree flatbed is the ideal way. I know Home Depot rents those flatbed looking vehicles from their store. not sure if thy're long enough, but i think HD rents out the truck for like $20-$30. best of luck

Hire movers :) This was my 220 gallon tank.

I like those cups, when moving with a truck (flat bed or pick-up) you have to cover your tank with something (blanked, bubble wrap ect.) or pebbles and rocks (on the ride home) will ruin your day trust me on this one......
