I have a 75g FW tank that's stocked with 3 clown loaches, one giant pleco, a yellow tail barracuda, and some cory's. Anyways, I need to move the tank about 20 feet across the room and want to do it without scaring the fish TOO much. The cuda is by far the most skittish of the bunch, so keeping him from bashing his face against the glass is my main concern. I have to have this done by tonight and any pointers woul dbe greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Empty tank of fish put them in a buckets ...then take out most of the water put in buckets and then move the aquarium make sure there is no or hardly any water in it and move it all i got for a pointer... or any thing that holds water that is clean very clean

You all have forgotten the 2 most important ingredients in tank moving: Friend(s) and BEER! After that, all that is needed is half a brain and some grunt work. You got it easy moving a 75 across your room.

remove the fish and most of the water. put long pvc pipes underneath the stand (needs to be longer than the width of the stand) and just roll the tank across the room. lift the tank and re-adjust the pvc pipes when you need to. the pvc pipes will act like wheels. i had to move a 300 gallon tank and stand this way.

when we had to move the 60 gallon we took more than half the water, and all of the decorations out. and then we slid it on the tile to the new place and put everything back with 20 gallons of new water.
