Anyway, glad it work out for you! Have to agree with everyone else. Had oscars that I rescued that the previous owner claimed would only eat live goldfish. Three days of not eating cured that problem. They eat pellets, flakes, chopped shrimp, anything I throw in the tank.
They are pigs! I had one that I am pretty sure literally exploded from eating too many pellets. I was trying a new bigger size pellet and the specific O was even piggier than the rest and ate way more than his portion. The next day he was dead, and his stomach was gone. I didn't even feed that much he just got way more than his share.
Honestly I had one fish that I use to cut up white filets and stuff with pellets it was so picky. After a year that got really old so now I offer pellets until they eat or starve to death. So far hunger has always won. Omega one seems to win over most picky eaters I've owned.
