Curious as to your certainty on that?ellets being the absolute best way to go? Especially over home grown and treated feeders.

In my experience they are Normally more willing to stuff or gorge themselves on feeders. But if they will eat pellets they still grow faster! Feeders aren't worth the risk or hassle to me... Sure one of my favorite thing is watching 100 feeders disappear in 5 min. But what about when you run out or the LFS does and you have to feed them nonQT'ed feeders or starve them cus that's all they will eat? I've had pbass eat each other being the same size.

My problem with the debate of live vs pellets is 99% of people who say pellets base their decision more on the cost of feeding the fish live. Most of the time it's usually senseless answers and the truth lies somewhere in between. Of course who wouldn't want the novelty and ease of pellets? Cheap no hassle food.

I have a friend who has fed his tanks for months on LFS feeders and had zero problems with issues such as ich. That leads me to my other problem with the argument. If you have pbass ich shouldn't even be a factor because your water temp should be high causing it to not effect your fish as ich can't survive in high temp. Another thing is don't drop all your LFS fish in at once. Drop them on one two at a time, these fish, pbass, are designed to break down the fish quite quickly not even allowing time for ich to thrive once inside them. My guys have done LFS feeders plenty of times with no problems with ich.

Any fish who eats is going to grow ;)
