how to prepare food for polys?

like chicken gizzards, beef heart, liver, market shrimp do you need to boil them or just feed them raw?
 
I have only fed market shrimp to my bichirs and I just shell them and chop them up into bite size morsels and drop them in the tank and the bichirs take care of the rest. Just make sure you don't overfeed when using market shrimp, it will cause ammonia spikes in no time if left in the tank to rot.
 
i wanna try meat because i heard it bulks them up pretty good
 
i feed meat daily i have feed them liver but it clouds the tank real bad i suggest beefheart and tilapia the BH will get them big and fat all my polys eat them both i jus cut semi froven meat n2 strips small enuff 4 them 2 eat and refreeze it laying flat not touching or grouped n meals no cooking needed lots of $ saved but u will do alot of cuting lol oh yea shrimp 2 mine dont really like it tho
 
uhh with BH just clean it out really well and cut it into bite size strips, market shrimp and tilapia is the same, just cut it up into small pieces.

i herd from mult. poly keepers that "weather" loaches will make your polys grow like crazy!
 
small fish they sell at lfs in the frozen section i feed those as well good fish food i think beef heart gets them bigger faster much cheaper tho
