How to prevent algea from forming on waterfall?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i didnt say get algae eaters to clean the fall i said if you dont have algae eaters in the tank(i meant pond) then you can use algae fix, the problem is that algae fix will kill all the algae not just the algae on the fall therefore if you have algae eaters using algae fix would deprive them of a food source . But i appreciate the fact the you assume im stupid enough to think algae eaters could clean the waterfall. it says tons about the intelligence of the company you normally keep.

1) its called a sense of humor - get one 2) nobody assumed you were stupid or even implied you were 3) if you took the time to type a well thought out response, you wouldnt get sarcastic remarks.

have a nice day and enjoy MFK

Very well said

I use barley straw extract and I have a UV and the pond is fine - just the waterfall has unsightly green growth that needs constant cleaning. So far I haven't heard of anything that can be done for it.

Like I said, "Needs more biological filtration apparently. More nutrients in the water than the present filter can use.

More filtering plants or physical filtration."

Shade for the waterfall if in direct sun would be a plus too.

How about some pix?
