I've had a 75gallon setup for about 4 weeks and im getting fish this weekend for free a guys comming down and wants to get rid of his ( hes a close friend) and i dont think the tank will be ready in time. what would u recomend to help quicken the cycle? right now i have

1.) 9" pleco
2.) about 3 goldfish in there.
i had more but they are either jumping out or my plecos eating the goldfish

put a filter on an established tank and move it over when the fish arive (you probably dont have enough time)

ask your LFS if you can buy some established filters lol.

if you have another tank....do a water change and put some of your old water and media for the new tank.

ergh the old media in my 120gallon just got tossed yesterday damn it.. i might get a divider in my 120gallon and put the new fish on the divided side untill the tanks cycled.

That wont really help that much. Old water carrys very little beneficial bacteria.

stress zyme, cycle, etc., old gravel from an established tank, filter media from established tank

4 weeks, it should be getting close, are you checking the chemistry?

And to be nosey...whats he giving you? (it's nice to have friends)
