How to quiet a sump

Ok sump pump is a aqueon quiet flow 8000 and over slow is aqueon 220 sump is a 55 g rubber made tote trickle tower I need to make my pump run quiet it's in the living room and it's noisey

is the pump submerged or external?
The actual motor/vibration or the water from the overflow?

Choice of plumbing makes a huge difference. Is it hard plumbed or vinyl hose?

Alot of people grossly undersize the diameter of their plumbing. That can contribute to noise as well.

Look into Herbie-style plumbing. Once you've seen one in action, you'll never plumb a tank any other way.

There is a lot of vibrations when I touch the hose the sump is always submerged

If it helps watter runs over flow from tank threw socks over bio balls and pit scrubber some amonia and charcoal floods the bottom drawer into the tote where it gets heated and pumped back to tank

But yea I think it's more pump vibrations then overflow the watter fall sound im fine with it's the hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
