I have a question about the substrate. I have wrigglers about to be free-swimmers. The female keeps moving around the school and she keeps loosing them in the larger substrate I have. I just pulled about 15-20 skattered throughout the substrate after she was convinced she did a good job moving them.
It was kinda funny actually, she'd wait for me to spit em out with the pipette, attack it twice, and put the kid back with the others.
Is there a substrate that works better for breeding, especially with the parents themselves being so small (1 inch), or will the lost wrigglers join back together once they're free-swimming (tomorrow or the next day)
I'm just a little bummed cause what looked like 100-200 eggs is now lookin like a couple dozen wrigglers.
Young parents...
FYI - never put young in a breeder net.. parents attempt re-collection through the netting = swiss cheese convicts.
