How to STOP the loud noise from water on overflow??

wow it worked. i had two pieces of filter pad froma fluval 405 and it worked. my over flow is 11" x 8". its so not lud any more and sounds so good. thanks for the help. all i did was put it on each side of the water fall and it worked.

nevermind figured it out. gotta love google
 
You need a durso standpipe.2 90 degree elbows and a little pvc pipe and the overflow is quiet.
