where the corruption never ends
My 5" jardini aro hasn't been eating for 5 days, and the LFS that I contacted said that it was due to stress. Can someone help me on how can I reduce the stress level of the fish, because I'm too worry and I want him to grow :(. He's still fine and swimming well though he just don't eat anything that I put in into the tank.....

What are his tankmates?

he's currently in a 50 gal tank with a 6" albino ck and a 3" ordinary pleco and will transfer him after 3-4 months or so based on his growth....

I think its still just getting used to it's new home. You should keep the tank lights off and make sure not to move too fast when close to the tank ie. make sure no one runs near the tank. I would also throw in some large plastic plants and just let them float around. Your Jar will find security in hiding behind it, that's what my silver did when I got it. Hope that helps, Good luck.

he's already in that tank for a month already and he started not eating when I changed 25% of the water last saturday.I've already put in a dechlorinator and some vitamins as well so it's confusing. How should I feed jars btw? cause mine swims at the mid-bottom of the tank.

Well it's not uncommon for young Aros to refuse food after being stressed out by a water change. Mine would not eat for 1-2 days after a water change when it was smaller, but as it got bigger, it got more comfortable with them.

As for specific care for Jardini's I can't really help you as I have no experience with them, but I believe they should accept the same foods as all the other aros and therefore be fed the same way. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong MFKers. Anyway, Good luck.

Thx for your help dude, I hope someone can solve my problem once and for all.....

Have you tried feeding him with tank lights off?? That may help..

is it okay to force feed him? like taking him out with a large net on the water surface and put in a pellet into his mouth?
