how to take out stress?

1st of all, stop your stress..stressed owner makes a stressed aro.

then, TMDragon already said it all, as the guy who told you to feed it with lights off.

Main thing is cut your stress. All young aros are skittish, BUT, if they're not sick, they'll turn round....

I wouldn't think that is necessary. Try changing his food, maybe he isn't in to the pellets try frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp or i was feeding my silver aro crickets when he was that size.
 
never worry when a jar is striking this thing i have learnt after keeping my jar from 4" to 14"+
 
What's the temp of the tank water? Have you tested the water for ammonia and nitrites? Did you clean out the filter at the same time?

Each time I hear about a fish being stressed out after a water change, it makes me wonder if the filltration wasn't jolted a bit and caused a spike. Water changes, for the most part should be refreshing.

Yes this fish needs variety.
