how to vacuum sand???

I just recently bought cichlid sand and im wondering if u vacuum it the same as you would gravel

yes you would use the same teechnique with sand but if the sand starts up the tube the stop!!!

thats good enough filter , i just get the stuff on top of the sand and just use the tube

yea im thinking about getting another filter not as big..which brings me to my next ? can there be to much current with adding another filter

never to much filtration

Never to much filtration, but you can have to much current depending on the species of fish you have. Some species do not do well in a setup that has an over abundance of current.

i have like 12 mbuna and 1 frontosa couple plecos and 2 lace cats. so do u think they would be alright??
